March 12th & 13th, 2007...Napoleon Hill Associates Malaysia organized their FIRST ever International Convention at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

Before I proceed further, for the benefit of those who do not know, or have not heard of Dr. Napoleon Hill, allow me to give you a brief introduction to the person who spent 20 years of his life researching why successful people are successful and why unsuccessful people remain unsuccessful...

Born in the Wise county of Virginia, Dr. Napoleon Hill is regarded as one of the most influential thinkers of the century. When he was in his early twenties, he was asked by the then richest man in America, Andrew Carnegie, whether he would be willing to dedicate 20 years or more of his life to discover the Secrets to Success. Of course, Dr. Napoleon Hill accepted the offer by Andrew Carnegie with nothing more than letters of recommendation to meet and interview 500 of the most successful Americans alive during his days. After dedicating more than 20 years of his life to finding the Secrets to Success, Dr. Napoleon Hill published an eight volume set of motivational books in 1928 entitled 'The Laws of Success' and later the renowned book entitled 'Think & Grow Rich', which has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and continues to appear on the list of top business books. Since then, his books have inspired millions worldwide to achieve greater success for themselves.

Ok, back to the convention...some of the speakers invited to speak at the convention are Bob Proctor, Vic Conant, Charlie 'Tremendous' Jones, Martin Dunkerton, Henry Holden, Joe louis Dudley, and many more...

This is me with Vic Conant, President and CEO of Nightingale-Conant Corporation, the world's largest producer and publisher of personal development products and services. Vic has worked with more self-improvement authors than any other human being alive today and he has spent his entire adult life immersed in the Self Improvement Industry. He spoke on 'The Power of Personal Initiative in Business Success'. It was a real pleasure and honor meeting him.

This is Ms. Minli Lee (a training partner of mine) and me, with Dr. Joe Louis Dudley. He spoke on 'Applied Faith in Entrepreneurship'. I like the way he shares his ideas. Extremely passionate and powerful! From the way he delievered his talk, you know that he has really gone through a lot of adversities and defeats before getting to where he is now. And despite all the adversities and defeats, he still managed to rise above it all. I have great respect for him. He really knows his stuff! Anyway, just a little bit about him:-

Wrongly labeled mentally retarded as a child due to a speech impediment, Dr. Joe Louis Dudley has risen to unimaginable heights from the three-room farmhouse where he was born. Combining his education at North Carolina A&T State University with his career experience, and starting with US$10 or roughly RM35, Dudley founded Dudley Products, an enterprise that has grown from a small business to a well-respected multinational company. He now operates several multi-million dollar enterprises that sells products and provides training and education for markets around the world.

I'm sure you're familiar with this guy here. haha. That's me! One of the speakers in the not-too-distant future! Well, that's my aim of course...
The reason I took this photograph was because I wanted something I could use to visualize my goals of becoming a speaker at this convention in the future (if they ever hold it in Malaysia again).

This again is MinLi and I, with Ms. Judith Williamson, the Director of the Napoleon Hill World Learning Center at Purdue University. Met up with her a couple of months before the convention. She's a very warm, nice and beautiful person. Oh yeah, she was also my evaluator for my Science of Success (SOS) program that I did with Napoleon Hill Associates (NHA). This photo was taken at the Gala Dinner on the 2nd day of the convention.

This is me with Mr. Henry Holden. He spoke on one of Napoleon Hill's 17 Success Principles: 'SELF-DISCIPLINE'. His talk was really inspiring. To see a man on crutches doing much more than what a normal human being can do with their normal bodies...Seeing him on crutches got me thinking...."If he can do all the things that he has done despite his disabilities, I can surely accomplish whatever I put my mind into! If I can't, SHAME on me!"

A brief introduction to the inspiring Henry Holden:-

Having contracted polio in 1952, Henry Holden walks with cruthces and wears a leg brace. Yet, he has done much more than the average individual. Having a physical disability to most people would stop many from their dreams and aspirations, but certainly not Henry. Henry lives by his slogan "Attitudes are the Real Disability". With much self-determination Henry has accomplished many of his dreams.

This is Me with Mr. Martin Dunkerton, the director of the film "Miilionaire: Awaken Your Secret". He had his world-premiere screening of his inspiring documentary here in Malaysia, in conjunction with the Napoleon Hill International Convention at Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

Here's a little bit about him:-

Award-winning freelance BBC director Martin Dunkerton has gone from filming documentaries about the homeless to nearly becoming one himself. After spending all his savings waiting for a big break with a Hollywood screenplay, Dunkerton returned to London almost bankrupt and questioning his faith in life itself. His life changed when a friend gave him 'Think and Grow Rich'. Dunkerton had an epiphany: What if he could retrace Napoleon Hill's mission to understand sucess? Could he apply Hill's principles and make a million dollars with a film based on a book written in 1937?

This is me with Charlie 'Tremendous' Jones. He's one of the most interesting persons I have ever come across. He truly is Tremendous! He was hugging me so tightly I could hardly breathe *Gasp*Gasp*...It was such a relief when he let go off me....haha... He's one extraordinarily humourous person....and the speed at which he speaks...Super Fast! Like a bullet train...He spoke on the "Keys to Success".

A little bit about this Tremendous speaker:-

Charlie Jones expresses the keys to success in straightforward, common sense language. His book, 'Life is Tremendous', has sold over 2 million copies in 12 languages, and he has lectured to thousands of audiences around the world. Mr Jones is an expert in leadership and uses his talents as a humorist to break down his listeners' barriers while teaching his motivational message.

Charlie entered the insurance industry at age 23, by 39 his organization exceeded US$100,000,000 in sales, at which time he founded Life Management Services, to share his experience through seminars and consulting services. For more than fifty years, his purpose and passion has been exciting people to read, think, & share.

And finally, this is me with Dr. William R. Wright and his wife... Dr. Wright was my instructor when I did the Distance Learning program with the Napoleon Hill World Learning Centre. He's a very positive person and is an extremely encouraging instructor / mentor. I've really learnt a lot from him throughout the program. My understanding of the 17 principles of success as outlined by Dr. Napoleon Hill was greatly strengthened by Dr. Wright during the 15 weeks program. Will be forever thankful to him...
